This is after achieving excellent results following the announcement of the results of the Fourth National Examination (KCSE) for the year 2024.

Where is Maranda School?

Maranda High School, located in Siaya County, Nyanza region, is one of the most prestigious national schools in Kenya.

Founded in 1919, this institution has been holding high positions among the best schools in the country, especially in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

How did Maranda High School do in KCSE 2024?

According to the preliminary results published by the page related to the school, Maranda has achieved impressive results, where 206 students got A grades.

Of those, 56 got A plain, while 150 got A- (minus). Out of a total of 562 candidates who sat for the KCSE exam this year, 538 got marks for direct entry to universities, representing a 95.73 percent success rate.

What was the average score of Maranda School in KCSE 2024?

This academic stronghold of Nyanza recorded an average score of B+ (9.6975).

In addition to A grades, the school also achieved satisfactory results in intermediate grades.

How many students got A plain in general?

The results of the Form Four National Examination (KCSE) for the year 2024 were officially announced today, Thursday, January 9, 2025, by the Minister of Education, Julius Migos Ogamba.

This year's examination saw a large number of candidates, where a total of 962,512 students participated, representing a significant increase compared to the previous year.

The distribution of marks for the 2024 KCSE examination showed that 1,693 candidates got an A grade, while 7,743 got an A- (minus).

In addition, 246,391 candidates got a grade of C+ or higher for admission to universities, while another 230,498 got a grade of C or C-. This brought the total number of candidates who scored C- and above to 476,889.
