The man of Kitale has melted hearts online after sharing a touching story of gratitude and love for her parents.
In a unique gesture, Webston Kinmani recently built a new home for his parents and added a luxury cruise as a gift.
Through a post of emotions and jokes, this loving son revealed that his parents, who often seem strict, are as cheerful and happy as children when they get a chance to relax.
“However, these people are just children; if they are serious, they should scare us,” she joked, sharing photos of her parents' happy moments.
Where did Kinmani take his parents?
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Kinmani explained that he took his parents to Ndura Park, located in the Kitale Nature Conservancy area.
Recalling their journey, Kinmani explained how his family endured difficult times, living in a small mud house.
This was due to the fact that his parents sacrificed everything to ensure that their children studied.
“When it rained we were moving things, yes it was that bad,” he recalled jokingly.
How Kinmani achieved the housing project
When he visited the house earlier this year, he found the house design that his parents had started but was not finished.
Although he was not rich, he completed the house with the limited resources he had, with the help of online friends and his relatives.
In just a few months, he tiled the floor, installed the ceiling, installed the electrical system, painted the interior, added a biodigester toilet system, hung the doors and more.
“The most important thing was seeing the smiles on my parents' faces,” he said proudly.
The new house still needs furniture, but he emphasized how rewarding the trip was, despite having to give up personal luxuries, like buying a bicycle for his son.
