The football community in Kenya has been mourning the death of a former star AFC Leopards Ezekiel Otuoma.
The 31-year-old passed away last month after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a condition that affects the brain and nerves.

Death of Ezekiel Otuoma
Otuoma's death, announced by his wife Racheal, plunged Kenyans and the football community into mourning.
Condolences from current and former players continued to pour in ahead of his funeral on Saturday, January 11.

Otuoma was diagnosed with the condition in 2020 and later had to use a wheelchair.
“You left a void in my heart that no one else can fill. The void in my arms reminds me of the love we shared. Your love was a gift and I will always cherish it,” said Racheal Otuoma when she announced her death.
“Although it was too early. That broke my heart because you left on my birthday. It won't be the same again. You didn't tell them you were leaving or even show signs. I loved you so much and even in death I still love you. In my heart you hold a place that only you can fill.”
AFC Leopards and other football clubs honored the player with great respect.
Animal Message to Otuoma
Speaking to Sports Eye, Wanyama praised Otuoma for his kindness and contribution to Kenyan football.
“Otuoma was kind, friendly and made a great contribution to youth football. He was a good example for many young people. He needs to be given an honorable burial. I remember him playing in the KPL, he made a great contribution to Kenyan football.”
The situation interrupted the career of Otuoma, who used to play Western Stima, Muhoroni Youth, Ulinzi Stars and Talanta FC.
Michael Olunga's message to Otuoma
TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Harambee Stars captain, Michael Olunga, paid tribute to Otuoma.
The Al-Duhail striker posted a picture of himself and wrote, “rest in peace, champion.”
