In a public statement on Sunday, January 5, the former deputy president urged Trans governor Nzoia Natembeya to remain steadfast in serving the people and not be distracted by critics.

“My dear brother Governor Natembeya. Please don't let the Palace Poets and Idioms distract you from the work you are doing to serve the people of Trans-Nzoia County. These Palace Comedians are in the ambiguous role of entertaining their masters,” Gachagua said.

The former vice president told Natembeya not to be shy to speak the truth, adding that criticism from the President's close friends William Ruto you show that the governor affects the community in a positive way.

“And don't stop speaking on behalf of Kenyans when necessary. The statements and accusations thrown at you are clear evidence that you bring change when you speak the truth to the rulers,” he added.

Meanwhile, speaking on Sunday, January 5, Natembeya denied any relationship with the former vice president.

“There is a big thing going wrong in this country… The President cannot avoid the responsibility of dealing with the kidnapping issue, as the responsibility to protect Kenyans and their property is his directly,” Natembeya said.
