On Monday, January 6, Citizen Digital reported that Rony Kiplangat and Bernard Kavuli have been reunited with their families after spending several weeks in the hands of captors.
Kavuli, who was captured by armed men in Ngong, was found KitaleTrans Nzoia county, while Rony is found in Machakos county.
Meanwhile, the whereabouts of famous cartoonist Kibet Bull, who is also Rony's brother, is still unknown.
The family revealed that they have only received contact from Rony Kiplangat, who disappeared days before the cartoonist was abducted.
As of press time, another young man, Steve Mbisi, who has also been reported missing, is still missing.
How Billy Mwangi returned to his family
As reported, Billy Mwangi's family has found relief after their handsome young man was found.
The boy was reunited with his family on Monday morning, January 6, 15 days after his abduction.
He was kidnapped on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at a barber shop in Embu while he was waiting to be shaved.
The video showed an emotional moment when Mwangi, 24, hugged his mother, Regina Wairimu.
The two hugged each other for a while enjoying the precious moment, after not having seen each other since the kidnapping incident.
Wairimu couldn't hold back her tears and buried her head in her son's shoulder during the reunion. Mwangi patted his mother's back consoling her during that time of grief.
What did the ODPP office say about the kidnapping?
Meanwhile, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga issued the order following growing concerns from the public and media reports.
In a press release issued on Sunday, December 29, 2024, the ODPP expressed deep concern about the disappearance of five people in December 2024 alone, where each of the victims has yet to be found.
The people captured so far include Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti Njeru, Bernard Kavuli, Gideon Kibet, also known as Kibet Bull, and his brother Ronny Kiplangat, who were captured at different times.
