The news is a huge relief to his family and colleagues, who have been anxiously awaiting updates since his mysterious disappearance on December 23.
How did Lilian Nyambura disappear?
Lilian had traveled to her mother's home in Gikono, Murang'a county, on December 21 for the festive season.
She was last seen leaving the family compound for what appeared to be an evening walk wearing a hijab and slippers.
The panic started when the 28-year-old failed to return, and efforts to find him were unsuccessful as he had left behind his mobile phones, car keys, laptop, house keys and identity documents.
The family lodged a report at the Gikono police station on December 24 with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in Kenol.
Happiness when Lilian Nyambura is found
Investigators revealed that the missing woman made three phone calls on December 21, but there were no further leads.
His sudden disappearance sparked a massive search involving the local police, DCIand citizens.
In a statement released today and shared by Daily NationSouth Murang'a County Deputy Commissioner Gitonga Murungi confirmed that Lilian was found alive.
