Who will replace Bukayo Saka?

After the Gunners beat Ipswich Town on Friday, Arteta broke the news that Saka had undergone surgery and was facing a serious sideline.

Before his injury, the 23-year-old had missed just two matches, according to Transfermarkt. With Arsenal challenging for the title, he will be missed.

“He had a routine,” Arteta said through Football London. “Everything went well, but for luck bad he will be out for many weeks.”

“I think it will be more than two months,” he said when he was pressed for time. “I don't know exactly how long.”

Raheem Sterling has been out of the Gunners squad this season and is the most obvious replacement. However, the veteran winger is out with a knee injury.

“We have to see this week how he changes. We probably expected the knee injury to take longer than it has in the last few days. Hopefully that's good news because we need him.”
