‘There’s nobody else in the world…’- Georgia Bell’s unique milestone that not even Faith Kipyegon has attained

Georgia Bell’s coach has revealed the one personality possessed by the Olympic 1500m bronze medallist that has yet to even be attained by Faith Kipyegon.

Georgia Bell has been a topic of discussion in the recent days due to her undeniable talent and her coach, Trevor Painter has dropped a bombshell about one of her accolades that even the greatest 1500m runner of all time Faith Kipyegon has yet to accomplish.

The Olympic 1500m bronze medallist has the ability to run the 800m and not just run but she is very competitive over the distance and her coach believes she is the fastest 800m runner who also specialises in the 1500m.

She has a personal best time of 1:56.28 in the 800m while Kipyegon, the three-time Olympic 1500m champion has a life time best of 1:57.68, a time she set back in 2020. Kipyegon has now switched to a longer distance the 5000m as she looks to continue with the progression up until the marathon.

Mary Moraa will not be racing her usual 800m as she has been confirmed for a longer distance at the Silesia Diamond League.

However, Bell, 31, might not be making that move anything soon since her coach believes her fast feet in the 800m are her weapon to continue dominating and hopefully, overthrow the 1500m queen.

A month after winning bronze at the Paris Olympic Games in the 1500m, Georgia Bell went on to finish second in the 800m at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels in 1:57.50.

In an interview with Manchester Evening News, Painter is confident that this makes her lethal in both the 1500m and 800m, firing warnings to both Kipyegon and Mary Moraa.

“There’s nobody else in the world as fast as her over 800m that runs in the 1500m race. That’s her weapon,” Trevor Painter said.

Owing to the fact that she is 31 and still running and winning medals is something that might leave people in awe but one thing for sure is that Bell always had the talent.

She was great as a junior competitor, and took a break from running after relocating to America to pursue her Master’s degree but she is now back. While in America, she had a lot of injuries hence the decision to keep things on the low.

The American sprinter has made sure to keep fans guessing with a playful Instagram post, fueling speculation about her relationship.

She remains an inspiration to the women who feel like their prime days might be over and her coach agrees that the window of success for many female middle-distance runners is between 27 and 31.

He revealed that many young girls tend to give up and pointed out that they should learn from the likes of Georgia Bell and Kipyegon who is 30.

“Georgia went to America and got a lot of injuries. She became disillusioned with the sport. I just needed some time to help her grow and she would have been a GB international,” Painter said.
