A loving mother from Misambi in Nyamira County has finally received a dream house from her sons.
The beautiful house was presented to him on Christmas Day when the family celebrated the world event together.
After 20 years of being homeless, the family, led by Patrick Momanyi, built him a three-room house worth KSh 3.5 million.
When did Momanyi's mother lose her job?
The brothers kept costs down by handling most of the work, including painting, plumbing, wiring, and landscaping.
Momanyi revealed to TUKO.co.ke about the challenges her mother faced, raising her and her siblings without any help.
“Our mother raised the five of us alone after separating from our father due to his alcoholism and abusive behavior. He used to beat him a lot and left him with long-term injuries that make it difficult for him to do many jobs today,” Momanyi narrated.
Their mother worked hard in the Kericho tea plantations from 2000 until she was suddenly fired in 2012, when machines replaced workers.
“Unilever fired her regardless, but her hard work and faith kept us going. We thank God for blessing us with a special mother like this, and glory be to her at this time,” Momanyi added.
Momanyi's mother did not give up; he was determined to take care of and raise his sons despite life's challenges..
