CCTV footage showing moments before Nakuru man stabbed to death by friend emerges

Nakuru – A family in Kaptembwa village in Nakuru county is seeking justice after their 32-year-old son was brutally murdered by his friend.

Who is the main suspect in the murder of Kevin Kitheka?

Citizen TV reported that Kevin Kitheka was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend, Seth Kiprop, in Kaptembwa area, Nakuru West.

According to the family, Seth invited Kevin to his home on December 19 and promised him a job.

However, the family was shocked when Kevin was found stabbed to death in Seth's home the next day.

“Kevin was stabbed, and I need justice for my son. In this case, we want it to be moved quickly because it seems clear. Our boy's killer is known,” Kevin's father complained.

The police have found a murder weapon, which will be important for investigators to prosecute the suspect who is already in custody.

What CCTV shows about Kevin Kitheka's last moments

CCTV footage from the building has emerged, showing the final moments before Kevin's body was found in the suspect's home.

The photos seen by TUKO.co.ke show the deceased wearing a black shirt and his friend, aged 30, wearing a white shirt, approaching the gate at 6:20 p.m.

In the pictures, Seth is seen knocking on the gate, but the guard did not open it.

Then they tried to open it before the guard did. The late Kevin Kitheka entered first, then Kiprop followed him.

It is said that the two had returned home from a party. That was the last time Kevin was seen alive.

At 7:00 p.m., CCTV footage shows a security guard patrolling to and from the suspect's house. Detectives say the suspect, Kiprop, provided the security guard with food items.

According to the police report, Seth went to work the next day and asked for a day's leave to attend to an urgent matter.

An autopsy conducted on the body of the deceased revealed that he was stabbed to death. The family doctor said there was only one stab wound.

“The cause of death here was loss of blood and also an injury to the heart muscle,” the family doctor said.
