Embu: The father of Billy Mwangi, a young man who was allegedly abducted by the police in Embu, has burst into tears asking for his son's release.
How was Billy kidnapped?
“I was told that my son was here waiting for his turn to have his hair cut when people jumped out of the double-cabin car and carried it upside down,” said his sad father, Gerald Mwangi.
“They were heavy men, wearing hoods to hide their faces, and when he asked what he had done, they told him he would find out later,” added Gerald.
Since Saturday, December 20, the family has been looking for their teenage boy, who was allegedly kidnapped by the police.
Why was Billy kidnapped?
According to reports, Billy was arrested for posting a defamatory photo of the President William Ruto.
For his part, Billy's mother said she was asking the government to punish her son like a parent punishes his child.
“Don't use too much force, please guide these children because I know you are also parents,” said Wairimu on Citizen TV.
According to the Embu Police Commander, Samuel Muthma, Billy's phone was switched off immediately after it was taken.
“We are trying to trace his whereabouts,” he said.
