The aunt of the late athlete Ezekiel Otuoma Deborah has opened up about her relationship with her nephew.
What Aunt Ezekiel Otuoma Said About Racheal
Aunty Otuoma revealed in an interview with Kenya Finest that the late athlete used to live with a grandmother.
His aunt also lived there and remembered how Otuoma loved to play football as a little boy.
“He reached the national level even when he was in secondary school. That's when he went to Nairobi. He got married while he was playing in the league. He was very disciplined. He studied without bothering,” he said.
He revealed that there was a time when the former football legend used to communicate in signs, and his wife, Racheal, understood the signs well.
“He told her that he wanted Aunt Deborah and I tried to give him food,” he said.
Deborah revealed that football talent ran in their family. He revealed that Racheal had made a vow to her late husband.
He had sworn that only death would part them.
“Racheal told me she had made a vow to Otuoma that only death would separate them. When I saw her health condition, I knew this woman had a hard job. She slept, was fed, and if she wasn't a woman of heart, he would have left her on the way. She told me that only death would separate them. Even if it was your child, what would you do? Racheal has tried her best until the last minute really. Here's to that Racheal,” he added.
When did Ezekiel Otuoma's father die?
Priscilla Wagongo, Ezekiel Otuoma's grandmother, revealed that she is her granddaughter died the same month as his father, Peter Otuoma Wagongo.
Peter, died on December 24, 1996 and his son, passed away on December 21, 2024.
