In an interview shared on the Dating Stories channel on YouTube, Elizabeth said that she got married at the age of 26.

How a Kenyan woman sponsored her husband

Elizabeth also explained that she never saw the people around her showing love openly, and in her relationships, she was never asked by anyone to be her lover.

Elizabeth recounted that she and her then-husband were co-workers, and when the company found out about their relationship, she was fired.

“That meant going back to my father's house, so I got married. He came to live with me. I was the independent and entrepreneurial girl. When he moved in, I was still paying rent with the little money I had saved,” he said.

How the sister found her husband turning away

He remembered how he made every effort to make sure their marriage was successful.

“So I paid for the whole process until the end. I remember even the very last day, the day we went to take the vows and the certificate, it was money from the party I was with. I said to myself, finally, I have money now let's have a wedding. I was happy to be married,” he said.

She added that it was the same year of their wedding when she found her husband naked with another woman.

“I found her live at our house with her boyfriend. The girl was under the bed, holding her clothes. I was very surprised, my husband pretended to answer the phone and started to leave after putting on his pants quickly, opened the door for her and escorted her. I called our mothers and they said stay, I fought for that marriage on my knees,” he added.
