Three brothers who died in a fire incident in Kapsogut village Kericho county have been buried.
The children, Abigael Chepkoech, Sandra Chepkirui and Enock Kipkirui, were buried at their home in Moburo on Thursday, December 19.
A Facebook user, Prince Kirui, shared news of the funeral while sending his heartfelt condolences to the family.
“The funeral service for the three children of the same family who lost their lives in a tragic way in the fire that occurred in Moburo, Kapsogut village in Bureti constituency, is an event of great sadness and grief. May their souls rest in eternal peace.” he noted.
What caused the fire that killed three children in Kericho?
Residents of the area claimed that the fire may have been caused by a mobile phone that parents left charging before going to an event.
A neighbor said they discovered the fire after seeing heavy smoke coming from the house, which made them run to the scene.
They tried to extinguish the fire, but their efforts were fruitless as the fire spread very quickly.
Sadly, the fire burned the three children beyond recognition, causing great grief to the parents.
According to reports, two small children were in the house accompanying their disabled sister.
