Who Will Rigathi Gachagua Support In 2027?
He pointed out that the leader of Wiper, Kalonzo Musyokahe can be the face of the union.
If it is known that as a person removed from power, Gachagua will not hold any position to be elected soon.
Speaking in Makueni on Wednesday, December 18, he said that Mount Kenya will join the Ukambani region to give Kalonzo the power to come to power.
Gachagua mentioned the Wiper leader's generosity to Mount Kenya, shown through his support for the former president, the late Mwai Kibaki.
He said that the region owes Kalonzo thanks for supporting Kibaki when he faced opposition from the 10th parliament.
“We remember in 2007 when Kibaki was faced with a challenge. He won the presidential vote but lacked the majority of MPs in the National Assembly. It was Kalonzo who came and helped Kibaki in the government as vice president, and it was during their administration that Kenya did well economically since independence. Therefore, as Mount Kenya, we owe Kalonzo, and we will pay that debt,” said Gachagua.
How many votes will Mlimi Kenya give to Kalonzo?
He encouraged the voters of Ukambani to register as voters in large numbers and reach at least 4 million, which will be added to the 10 million he estimates Mlima Kenya will have by the year 2027.
Therefore, according to Gachagua's estimate, their coalition will not have less than 14 million votes.
“Numbers are the only secret here. I ask the people of Ukambani to register as voters. Leadership is achieved through votes. We need 50 percent plus one more vote, and you must add yours. We want all young people to register and be between 3.5 and 4 million. Mount Kenya we will push it to 10 million,” he said.
He disclosed that he was already in talks with Kalonzo and other partners who are ready to strategize for their upcoming alliance.
The ousted deputy president said that Mount Kenya has already separated from the President William Rutowho accused him of betraying the area after orchestrating his removal two months ago.
He said their alliance will focus on reviving the economy and removing fraudulent politics from the administration system.
However, although the former vice president announces that Mount Kenya is behind him, political analysts claim that it is too early to make such statements.
