Peris was attacked by his brother after returning from Lebanon
However, the homecoming the mother of two boys expected turned out to be a heartbreaking tragedy.
Peris, who returned two weeks ago, told TUKO.co.ke that he found himself unwanted in his family's home.
His brother, who was living in their father's house, denied him entry and he was allegedly physically assaulted.
Forced to leave with her young son, she now lives in a makeshift tin house, with no basic necessities.
“When I was in Lebanon, my family exhausted me financially, claiming it was for the use of children. Now I have nothing,” Peris revealed, her voice heavy with emotion.
Peris complained about how things had changed for him
Peris' situation in Lebanon was already difficult. As a migrant worker, he faced long hours and difficult conditions.
The emotional and financial burden was overwhelming, leaving her longing for the comforts of home.
But instead of getting better, he has faced rejection and hostility, thus intensifying his struggle.
“I feel like I'm crazy,” Peris admitted. “I haven't had time to rest, either in Lebanon or here. The weight of depression is too great.”
Empty, with children to feed and no possible job opportunities, Peris wishes to rebuild her life.
He hopes his story will touch a well-wisher who will help him find a way to start over.
