For example, while addressing residents of Wajir county on Tuesday, December 10, Ruto vowed to continue with his ambitious plan to vaccinate 22 million cows despite opposition from some Kenyans.

Ruto called leaders who oppose livestock vaccination as crazy or useless.

This comes just a week after he lashed out at his government's full-time skeptics, saying they may be under constant pressure to oppose everything his administration stands for.

Ruto was speaking during the inauguration of the Devki Steel Mills in Manga, Taita Taveta County.

“There is a dirty spirit of opposition, opposing everything… they oppose affordable housing, vaccination of cattle to eliminate diseases, they oppose changing the system so that we can save our universities, they oppose. UHC things, they oppose. Even they oppose in the church,” President Ruto complained.

The head of state also mocked Kenyans celebrating the decision to cancel Adani Group's 30-year contract to lease the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). President Ruto said that many who oppose the Adani and JKIA plan do not have personal experience with airports, adding that perhaps some have never been to an airport.

“What benefit do you get when you stop the construction of an airport in your country? You don't know how it will be built, those who oppose it, they don't care, you just oppose it.” Ruto said.

On December 3 2024, the president urged Kenyans to register for free health services in public hospitals under the My Health programme.

He criticized those who oppose the health policy, saying they preach politics of division and tribalism.

“We have passed laws and policies to simplify health services. Your responsibility is to register, as the government provides medicines and equipment to hospitals. If you don't register, how will the government help you?” he asked.

What did Ruto say during the Republic Day celebrations?

Addressing the nation during the 60th Republic Day celebrations at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, Ruto asked Kenyans to learn to accept the results.

The head of state took the opportunity to highlight the achievements his administration has achieved so far, including digitizing 20,855 government services through the e-Citizen website.

Ruto added that his Affordable Housing program has so far created 200,000 jobs and thousands of indirect opportunities in the building and construction value chain.
