The MP had sued Stephen Mwangi Kamau, a resident of Nakuru, for allegedly writing insults against him on social media.

On Wednesday, December 11, Kamau visited Ichung'wah at his office in the parliament building, perhaps with the aim of reaching an out-of-court solution.

He was accompanied by his lawyer.

After a short discussion, Ichung'wah announced his intention to drop the case and help the suspect change.

“I met Stephen Mwangi Kamau, a young man from Nakuru, who was facing charges of using abusive language and misuse of an electronic device. Following the request of his lawyer, Otieno Aluoka, for a face-to-face mediation session, we had a friendly discussion . In the spirit of Christmas and forgiveness, we will be writing to the court to unconditionally drop the charges and the criminal case when the matter comes up. We are committed to leading Stephen to be a good and productive citizen.” said Ichung'wah.
