Nairobi – Governor Johnson He has dismissed claims that Uhuru and Central Parks are being leased, calling the reports alarming and misleading.

In a statement, Sakaja explained that the parks will remain public property and are not for privatization.

He explained that the city is looking for people interested in providing special services, including boating, fast food outlets, refreshments, bouncy castles, and amusement facilities for children—activities that have become part of the park's offerings.

“What is available to parties to operate are services such as boating, fast food, refreshments, swimming pools, and recreational facilities for children as usual. Statements of interest will be posted publicly for anyone to request. The parks will always remain public property. and it belongs to the people of Nairobi,” he said.
