In a touching request which TUKO.co.ke highlighted, he asked the benevolent politician for help.

How Sonko will empower Otesa
Responding via X network, Sonko assured Otesa that he would intervene to give him a lifeline.
The politician promised to get him a job to help him secure his future and meet his basic needs.
“No gifts for now; we are in a good season, and business is booming. Let me give him work and basics so he can organize his life,” Sonko wrote.
Furthermore, Sonko promised to investigate Otesa's claims of being mistreated by a former manager who he claimed had mismanaged his contracts.
“I will press for an investigation to be done on how he was defrauded by those who helped him negotiate the contracts. Give him back his money or he should go to jail. Hon. Salasya has also volunteered to turn himself in, so he will be resolved,” Sonko added.
Otesa, who initially gained attention for her unique stature, has faced a major challenge after her popularity waned.
