KCB East Africa golf tour grand finale attracts 230 players

The 2024 KCB golf tour is coming to an end after traversing Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

The lush per 72 Sigona Golf Club is set to host 230 top amateur golfers from around the region on December 6, bringing an end  to the 2024 KCB East Africa golf tour

The much-awaited tourney will see the players battle it out on the fairways  for Ksh 1 million grand prize  and the opportunity to compete at the coveted  2025 Magical Kenya Ladies  Open in Vipingo Ridge, Kilifi County.


The tour has traversed 24 counties in Kenya and the grand finale marks the end of the 11-month tournament that has also been held in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda


Commenting ahead of the tournament,  KCB Group Director Marketing  and Communications  Rosalind Gichuru noted: “The 2024 edition has  been greatly successful  as we attained our target of interacting  with 3000 participants and 1500 juniors.”

In the Kenyan edition, the series graced Kisumu, Nakuru, Nairobi, Mombasa, Nyeri, Uasin Gishu, Kericho, Nandi, Kiambu, Machakos, Kisii, Kilifi, Kakamega, Laikipia and Trans Nzoia counties. Regionally, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi hosted a tournament each.

“The second edition of the tour was crucial in giving a platform to budding enthusiasts  to hone their skills  and to enjoy themselves, further strengthening Kenya’s growing reputation  as a hub for golfing excellence,” said Sigona golf club captain , Sammy Mwiti.

Club members,  partners, members of different clubs  and other invited guests will headline  the event at the 18-hole  course that will culminate  in a sophisticated dinner, an awards ceremony, entertainment and an exclusive guest experience.
