Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso suffered a blow after his senior officials spat at him.
Why did Inject Party officials withdraw from membership?
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, one of the officers who left, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the decision to leave was based on Morara's behavior, which they found difficult to tolerate.
Despite repeated efforts to counsel him, the official claimed that Morara ignored their views and continued to focus on “becoming a billionaire by the age of 35” instead of changing the country through the party.
“Morara is not a person to work with. He reacts arbitrarily to everything that comes his way. When we work as a team, every action reflects the party's position. But for him, it is always his decisions, not someone else's. You can't advise him; it's just him, alone,” complained the leader.
The source expressed concern about the lack of transparency and accountability in how the party's finances are managed.
According to him, Morara involved himself as the chief accountant, thus making others unable to monitor the party's finances.
Morara was alleged to have mentioned only a few times the millions he receives as donations from Kenyans without giving a clear explanation on how the money is being used.
The official noted that most donations come from Kenyans living abroad, not from the country.
“He was the leader of the party and the chief accountant. We never knew the amount of money he received or how it was spent. Although he often mentioned donations from residents, most of the donations came from abroad.
He has a way of speaking that makes you feel sorry for him. You will hear him say during lunch that Kenyans have spent KSh 1 million on him this week. Sometimes you feel sorry for yourself by sharing that information,” he explained.
Furthermore, the official accused Morara of making decisions alone, meeting with politicians without informing party leaders, thus leaving them in the dark about any agreement reached.
The officer explained that they initially trusted Morara, believing that he had good intentions and that they could achieve their goals together.
However, after hearing rumors about his behavior and doing their own investigation, they were disheartened.
“I believed this movement was to reform the government and remove this corrupt administration. We didn't know we were dealing with a person who was targeting his own interests, using our efforts and this movement for his benefit. I'm glad we decided to leave early,” he said.
They noted that now Morara has retained his treasurer and chairman, who have been loyal to him since they were in college.
