Limuru, Kiambu: An old man has strongly condemned the people who planned and carried out the disruption of the funeral of Erastus Nduati, where the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua attended.

What happened to Erastus Nduati?

Nduati died after allegedly being attacked by his brother who also wanted to turn to their mother, but he managed to outsmart him.

Things were fine at the start of the funeral, and Gachagua was seen calmly reading and singing hymns with other mourners.

However, the former vice president did not get the opportunity to address the mourners after suspected hooligans disrupted the event.

A video shared on social media captured the thugs uprooting the celebrity tent, destroying chairs and causing chaos.

Why was the Limuru old man angry?

After calm returned to the funeral, an elderly resident appeared, lamenting how they formed a committee and painstakingly planned the funeral of their loved one only to be dishonored.

He announced his wish that those who planned the attack on the mourners would one day suffer the same pain.

“May the person who loves him die. God knows who caused this and may they also suffer the same problem as we struggled with burial plans and digging graves,” complained the old man in a Facebook video shared by DJ Sonnie.

Responding to the chaotic incident, Gachagua said the bandits were armed with stones and sticks, which they used to attack the mourners.

In addition, he said the attackers followed him to his car and started throwing stones at it, causing damage to the car.

The controversial politician criticized the government of Kenya First for allegedly removing his security, saying it left him vulnerable to attacks at Limuru's funeral.
