How was Ochieng' attacked by a hippopotamus?

Ochieng met his sudden death while bathing on the shore of the lake with his three friends. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Chief Olang' said the hippo confronted the group, and while his friends escaped, Ochieng was attacked and killed.

“It is a very sad event for the family and the community. The boy had finished his exams and was looking forward to his future,” Olang' added.

Residents have expressed their concern due to the increasing number of conflicts between humans and wildlife in the area.

The chief urged the National Wildlife Service (KWS) to take immediate steps to deal with the situation.
