Gachagua complained that the government removed the last elements of his security following his removal from office.

What did Gachagua say about the Limuru attack?

Addressing the brutal attack at Limuru's funeral, Gachagua said it happened when they were preparing to bury the young man.

The former vice president said that the attackers were armed with stones, swords, irons and sticks.

“They randomly descended on the mourners who were there and attacked them using the weapons they had, as well as using the plastic chairs that were there,” he said.

Gachagua added that while he was running towards his car for safety, a special group followed him and hit his car with stones and irons.

“We left the hall under stones! This is a very sad situation and a very low situation for the government, who were involved in these actions. We especially remember the family who had a loved one in the coffin, who had to flee to safety despite their great grief ,” Gachagua added.
