Francis Atwolithe general secretary of the Union of Trade Unions (COTU), has predicted the victory of President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
Can Ruto win the 2027 election?
Atwoli noted that although many people may announce their intention to run for the presidency, he still has faith in the victory of Ruto in the second election.
Speaking to Citizen TV on Wednesday, November 28, Atwoli said that Ruto's recent moves set him up for an easy victory in the upcoming polls.
“I can tell you, here and now, with the direction that President William Samoei has taken, the direction that he is taking now, he will be president at 10:00 am 2027,” Atwoli said.

Atwoli argued that Ruto has gained support from key constituencies across the country.
He noted that Ruto's decision to form a broad government in collaboration with Raila enabled him to gain support from the residents of Nyanza.
The Secretary General of COTU also noted that Ruto has strengthened support in the Western region by appointing Musalia Mudavadi as Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Moses Wetang'ula as Speaker of the National Assembly, and Wycliffe Oparanya as the secretary of the Council of Ministers.
“If he is now doing what he is doing in Western Kenya, he has Stay Mudavadiyou want to tell me someone will defeat him, he has brought Wycliffe Oparanya, the area is covered, others are shouters, then go to Nyanza, with Raila. ,” he said.
Did Atwoli ask Kenyans to give Ruto time?
Separately, Atwoli urged Kenyans to be patient and allow the Ruto administration enough time to implement its policies.
In a heartfelt appeal, he emphasized the importance of giving the government enough time to plan and deliver important services to the people effectively.
