A helpful Kenyan man three of Nairobi and other vehicles to avoid traffic jams he has opened up about his unique job.
Who leads the matatu in Nairobi?
Eriko gave insight into the unique work in an interview with YouTuber Sophy Juma.

According to Eriko, who works at the Globe Roundabout, he serves three, but also receives calls from private cars and trucks.
The job involves going around the area constantly to check traffic and then advise drivers accordingly.
Eriko noted that he does not like to be officially employed.
“I cannot be employed. You can get anything you want on the street if you work hard. Few white-collar workers earn as much as we do,” he said.
The job is dangerous, including standing in the middle of the road.
However, Eriko does not work alone, as she has two colleagues.
Eriko told Sophy that he was unemployed for two months before he started the job in Ruaka, moved to Roysambu, and finally went to the CBD.
“It's important to get calls from drivers right away.”
Most matatos pay KSh 50, and ganyas pay KSh 100. We provide services according to the wishes of the driver,” he said.
