Tharaka Nithi: Tharaka County Speaker Nithi has given new clothes to two elderly people who will get married in a beautiful ceremony on December 14.
How long have Mugo and his wife been married?
John Mugo, a 94-year-old man from Chuka, Igambang'ombe ward in Tharaka Nithi county is set to officially walk with Margaret, his girlfriend of more than 50 years, on December 14.
Mugo announced his intention to have a church wedding during the funeral of one of his neighbors. Community leader Dennis told TUKO.co.ke that the response to the father of four was great as people are ready to support him.

“Several people are ready to support him including the speaker of Tharaka Nithi John Mbabu who promised to cover the expenses. Last Sunday, the speaker dressed them up and asked any couple who could not afford the wedding expenses to just call him,” Daniel Muthomi, a resident said. TUKO.co.ke

The much awaited ceremony will be held at St Andrew's Catholic Church in Chuka.
“Mugo is a famous person. He attends all community events such as funerals, weddings, funerals or meetings, he mentions and even contributes,” said Muthomi.
His inspiration for weddings came after attending many weddings, which made him want to have a wedding too. The couple has four children, one of whom passed away.
