Tanzanians Surprise Kenyans After Qualifying AFCON 2025: “They Are Champions of Just Demonstration”

  • Another neighbor of Kenya Uganda has also qualified for the championship for the first time in 2019

Kenyans have failed to put their faces on the internet following complaints from the citizens of Uganda and Tanzania after their teams qualified for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

The hopes of Harambee Stars faded after the draw against Zimbabwe in South Africa.

Uganda and Tanzania have booked themselves a ticket to play in next year's finals and their fans have taken the opportunity to warm up their neighbors.

Uganda, Tanzania qualify for AFCON, Kenya is out

Uganda Cranes qualified for the tournament five days ago for the first time since 2019 along with South Africa in Group K.

Hosts Uganda won three of their six group matches to finish second behind 2023 bronze medal winners South Africa.

Meanwhile, Tanzania booked its ticket on Tuesday, November 19, after beating Guinea 1-0 at home. Taifa Stars is participating in the second consecutive championship.

Harambee Stars failed to qualify for the first time since 2019. They won once in Group J, while Cameroon and Zimbabwe crossed. Kenya has played its two championships AFCON within 30 years.

Those nations three East Africa will jointly host the AFCON 2027 tournament, and it seems only Kenya will need to rebuild its team.
