A video of a man struggling to stay alive following a fatal building collapse accident in Kariakoo has shocked and broken the hearts of netizens.

This is happening while 13 people have been confirmed deadand many others were injured and covered in rubble after a four-storey building collapsed in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam, on Saturday, November 16.

A video that has gone viral on TikTok captured the scene where a man and other victims were trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building that housed many businesses and shops.

In the heartbreaking video clip, the man was seen sweating profusely while the voices of his colleagues could be heard in the background saying they were struggling to breathe.

“Help me. We can't breathe,” they were seen shouting from under the rubble.

In the second clip of the video, they were seen struggling to fight in the dark as the voices of rescuers called for each other.

For luck Well, the information shared by the person who re-uploaded the video showed that they were saved.

“They are saved. The man's brother has confirmed it,” said a man from outside Tanzania.

The survivors were not the only ones calling for help from under the rubble.

The government of President Samia Suluhu confirmed that rescuers have been in contact with those trapped under the collapsed building.

A BBC report shows that rescuers have been administering food, glucose, and water through small openings in the rubble.

Also, the sounds of knocking are heard inside the collapsed building as rescue efforts enter the third day.

Rescuers have expressed hope that more victims will be found alive.
