Kenyan Woman Shocked To Find Out Her Sister Is Pregnant From Her Husband: “I Forgave Her”

A woman in Kenya has narrated how her husband brought her sister to their home and eventually destroyed her marriage.

Ruth Wangariu had just given birth to a child through surgery and needed someone to help her take care of herself and the child.

The best person would be his mother, but they had a disagreement because his mother did not allow him to name the child after her, according to Agikuyu culture.

“My mother said she won't let me name my first-born girl just because my baby was born by caesarean section,” he said.

Why did the Kenyan pastor bring his wife's sister to their home

Wangariu's husband, who is a priest, told her not to worry and promised to find her a helper. To his surprise, he came home one day with his older sister.

“My husband told me not to look for someone to help me with the housework. He said he would get me someone himself. I felt safe when I saw my sister because I thought she would understand me and we would understand each other,” he explained.

However, she later noticed that the old sister was reluctant to return to her husband's house after she recovered and could do the housework herself.

“My sister is married, so whenever her husband called her, he used me as an excuse, saying I still need his help,” he narrated.

Later she found out that her older sister did not want to return to her house because she had an affair with a pastor.

“I was outside the house doing laundry and I realized that I had forgotten something inside. When I opened the door, I found the two of them making out on my matrimonial bed,” said Wangariu.

When she found out that her sister had an affair with her husband, the pastor's wife did not divorce him and chose to stay.

He remembered finding out about his sister's pregnancy through hospital documents left on her bed.

However, she thought it was not her husband's child.

“When I approached them about the infidelity, the two just ignored it and told me I was not enough. I am six months pregnant, and my sister is eight months pregnant with my husband,” he revealed.

Wangariu left her home in August 2024 to live elsewhere with her three-year-old firstborn, living in miserable conditions.

The middle-aged woman said she has forgiven her sister but will never forgive the father of her child.

“I am disappointed with my sister; I didn't expect that he would do that to me. Second, I forgive him; I have no grudge. For my husband, I will never forgive him,” he insisted.

She asked Kenyans of good will to help her raise her daughter, Happiness and support herself, as she is expecting her husband who divorced her.
