The police commander, Simon Maigwa, confirmed the report saying he and his officers found the body of the man already dry.
“I received a call from good Samaritans saying they saw the body of an adult. When I arrived at the scene, I called the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the laboratory investigation department. I ask the public to cooperate with us, and anyone who has any information about Hassan's death, please let him know,” he said.
One of the children of the deceased claimed that their father left them ten years ago and moved to another woman.

A few days ago, 40-year-old Hassan arrived at his first family's home, asking his first wife to let him see his sons.
However, the wife dismissed him because it was night and they were sleeping, telling him to come another time.
Juma Ngaina Musuya, a resident of the area, narrated how he received the sad news about the man's death over the phone.
“I was given information about the incident, and the caller told me that I might know the deceased. When I arrived, I did not recognize the man. The people gathered recognized him as Hassan. Some recognized him as a worker in the city and others as the father of the family,” he said, adding that it was the second time the area received news of that kind of death.

In a separate event, Silas Ndosi aged 38 accompanied his colleagues to attend a funeral near their home in Shanghai, Arusha.
He was found dead in the early hours of November 12, his body with wounds and blood leaking from his nose, mouth, and ears.
The police took his body to the morgue while the investigation of the death continued; the deceased was in the process of divorce at the time of his death.
