- Nyamira's grief-stricken mother pleaded with the good Samaritans to help them clear the hospital bill so that they could rest their loved one
A desperate woman from Nyamira has appealed to the public to help her family raise money.
Tabitha Kemunto died at St. Hospital. Claire's Kaplong Mei after being sick for three months, but her body has been a mess since then.
When did Kemunto die?
The mother of two left a debt of more than KSh 400,000, of which the family only managed to pay a small portion.
The hospital has refused to release the body of the deceased to the family until the outstanding debt is paid.
“We took him to the hospital in March, where he stayed for two months before he died. I have no money. I have failed to pay. I am asking for help. I am asking you to help me,” Kemunto's mother cried.
One of his sons said he was looking for labor jobs to help the family collect money to pay off debts and give his mother a decent burial.
The family asked the hospital to write off the debt and give them the body of their 46-year-old mother for burial.
However, the medical center refused and pleaded with the grieving family to raise money and pay off their debt.
