Kiambu – A 19-year-old woman has been found dead in Kiambaa, Kiambu county, just one day after she was reported missing.
When did Sharon Atieno go missing?
It is said that Sharon Atieno left her residence around 4pm on Thursday, November 7, saying she needed to make a phone call.
His body was discovered the next day by the owner of a local banana farm, where it had been abandoned.
“When I went away and looked at the girl's body, I saw that there was no sign of life; she was already dead,” the owner of the farm said explaining the strange event.
A family member who witnessed the incident noted large wounds on the woman's neck, suspected to be knife wounds, suggesting she was brutally murdered.
Atieno's friend revealed that he has been suffering from emotional stress as the anniversary of his mother's death approaches.
“Normally, he finds it difficult when the anniversary of his mother's death approaches. Only then was he troubled by thoughts,” he participated.
Department of DCI initiates an investigation into the death of Sharon Atieno
The Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has launched a full investigation into the incident.
Police are conducting forensic analysis on Sharon's mobile phone to determine her recent communications in order to solve the mystery of her death.
