John Mbadi Officially Relinquishes the Bags of the ODM National Chairmanship, Handing it over to Gladys Wanga

Fever Bay Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi officially handed over the national chairmanship of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to Governor Gladys Wanga during a thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday, November 10.

In his speech, Mbadi thanked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for ensuring that the ODM chairmanship remains in Homa Bay.

In the event attended by TUKO.co.ke, Mbadi said he put his trust in Wanga with all his heart, asking him to work hard for the growth of the party.

“I want to thank him Raila Odinga for retaining the ODM chairman's seat in Homa Bay. I have officially and wholeheartedly handed over the chairmanship of ODM to Gladys Wanga. I am confident that Wanga will lift ODM to a great extent,” said Mbadi.

Mbadi's decision to resign as ODM chairman comes from the Constitution Kenyawhich prohibits one person from holding two public offices at the same time.

The former chairman of the party was appointed by President William Ruto as Treasury Cabinet Secretary following the sacking of the entire Cabinet following General Z's protests.

What did Mbadi say about Kenya's economy?

Speaking about Kenya's economic issues, Mbadi assured the public that the government has enough money, saying that effective planning is the basis for managing resources.

“No government can lack funds, all that is required is good plans, I will ensure that all funds are properly managed to help the economy grow,” he said.

Mbadi also expressed his commitment to the development of Homa Bay, highlighting plans to get KSh 7 million for the completion of the Oluch-Kimira irrigation plant, based on discussions with the CEO of the Kenya Lake Basin Authority.

The event, which was attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, witnessed the attendance of several senior ODM leaders, including Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir, Kisii governor Simba Arati, and Esther Passaris of Nairobi, among others.

Notably, all Homa Bay MPs were present except for Caroli Omondi of Suba South.

Kasmuel McCoure promises to support ODM

At the same time, activist Kasmuel McOure promised to support ODM calling it a party staple more of the people who believe in fair democracy.

McOure promised to lead mass registration for the party.

The budding politician is among the young people who hosted Governor Wanga for his thanks giving event in Homa Bay.
