Was Pastor Raphael Obego sick?
Osuri said that Obego went to the hospital on Tuesday, November 5, where he reported having breathing problems.
However, Osuri said that after tests and examinations, the doctors discovered that he had a stomach infection.
Obego began treatment as directed, but his condition did not improve.
“For luck bad, we found out early yesterday morning that his condition did not improve, and his stomach continued to swell. However, when we inserted the tube through his nose, we were able to drain a lot of pus from his stomach area,” Osuri told it NTV.
The presence of pus in Obego's stomach made doctors investigate its source, and so they decided to take him to surgery.
“That's when the surgeons decided to take him to surgery to find out what was causing the pus in his stomach…but unfortunately, we lost him at that time,Osuri added.
What did Obego's autopsy report reveal?
Osuri said that the family agreed to conduct an autopsy on Obego's body after his death to determine the source of the pus in his stomach.
The doctor said that the report showed that the pus in the pastor's stomach was caused by intestinal perforation.
“We have been keeping the body in the mortuary while the funeral arrangements continue,” he added.
