Why is Kithure Kindiki flying to Botswana?

Kindiki was recently sworn in to replace the Rigathi Gachaguawho was removed from office by impeachment.

On Friday, November 8, Kindiki left the country for Gaborone, Botswana, where he will represent the President William Ruto at the swearing-in ceremony of Duma Boko as President of the Republic of Botswana.

“He left the country this morning for Gaborone, Botswana, to represent President William Samoei Ruto at the swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Duma Boko as the President of the Republic of Botswana,” Kindiki said in his press release.

On his journey, Kindiki has been accompanied by Senators Fatuma Dullo (Isiolo) and Eddy Oketch (Migori) and Members of National Assembly Owen Baya (Kilifi North), Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), John Njuguna Kawanjiku (Kiambaa), Victor Koech (Chepalungu). , and Elisha Odhiambo (Gem).

What Ruto asked from Kindiki

As previously reported, President Ruto mocked his former Deputy, who appeared to accuse him of negligence during his two years in office.

Addressing the nation during Kindiki's swearing-in in Nairobi on Friday, November 1, Ruto revealed that he has been left to continue the functioning of the National Executive Council without the support of his former deputy.

The head of state also suggested that Gachagua was not loyal to him.

He said he felt he was serving in the presidency alone despite having a deputy who was supposed to be his main assistant.

In a clear plea to Kindiki, Ruto asked him to use his eloquence, professorship and knowledge to inform Kenyans about the government's agenda and plans.
