Kenyan lawyer and political activist Smiles Smiles has criticized Kenyans celebrating the return of former US President Donald Trump to the presidency.

Following Trump's victory in the 2024 election against Vice President Kamala Harris, Miguna took to social media to question the enthusiasm some Kenyans have shown for Trump, listing historical issues related to the Republican Party.

On Wednesday, November 6, Miguna posted on X, expressing dismay at Kenyans' support for Trump.

He compared Africans' support for Trump to Palestinians celebrating Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, given the Trump administration's record on racial issues in the country. United States.

“Africans cheering the election of @realDonaldTrump are like Palestinians cheering the re-election of @netanyahu.
