Sad events befell the beginning of the Secondary Education Certificate exams Kenya (KCSE) in Meru County.
This is after a male student registered at Tigania West school died a few hours before he started to write the first paper of his exam.

The incident is reported to have happened at midnight, and the death of suddenly of the student has left the school and the whole community in great surprise.
“At midnight tonight, we lost a male student who is from Tigania West,” said the officer in charge of the area to reporters.
Nation Africa published a video of the presiding officer addressing journalists during the distribution of exams in the county.
Despite the tragic death, the area reported a large number of adults and inmates taking the test.
Statistics show that there were 151 adults who sat for the test in 5 centers and 12 male prisoners.

At the same time, two female students who were pregnant gave birth at the Hospital Meru.
The official also noted that the information may change as the situation develops, with further updates expected throughout the day.
