Fever Bay – A family in Rongo, Migori county is mourning the tragic death of Pastor Ken Odira, who died following a motorcycle accident.

The accident occurred when Odira was returning from church on Saturday, November 2, when his motorcycle collided with another that was leaving Kisiicausing severe head injuries.

How did Pastor Ken Odira die?

Odira's sister, Beryl Odira, expressed her shock and sadness over the death of suddenly of his brother. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, he narrated the events that followed after the accident:

“His motorcycle collided with another in Oyugis. He was rushed to Agoro Sare District Hospital, but they could not help him, so he was transferred to Oasis Hospital in Kisii. Due to his critical condition, Oasis took him to Tenwek Hospital, where he could not be operated on due to the level of unconsciousness. He died before he could get treatment.”

“The doctors told us that the impact on his brain was so great that he could not be helped. That's how he died on Sunday morning, November 3,” Odira's close friend, Evance Chiro, added.

The late, who was also a solo artist, was studying Theology at Bugema University, Uganda while serving as a pastor in Misida District in Rangwe, where he was highly respected for his teachings and inspiring sermons.

Beryl shared that her brother was officially preparing for his marriage plans.

“We are heartbroken. My brother expected to pay the dowry to his fiancee today before his wedding in March 2025. He had many promises, and this has suddenly happened to us,” he said.
