The famous evangelist of Nigeria Ebuka Obi has sparked a debate online following a sermon in which he advised men to love their mothers more than their wives.

In a widely circulated video, the preacher argued that a man should first buy a car for his mother before thinking about his wife.
Why should a man prioritize his mother instead of his wife?
In his sermon, Obi said emphasizing that:
“Any man who buys his wife a car before giving his mother a car 'isn't a fool at 40.'”
He elaborated further, saying:
“You want to buy a car for your wife while your mother doesn't have one?” If you do that, you are a fool at 40. Before you buy a car for your wife, buy one for your mother and even give her a driver. My conscience would remind me that someone raised me before I met my wife.”
Obi's comments caused strong reactions, especially when he explained his point by explaining how mothers, in his opinion, are ready to sacrifice for their sons compared to their wives.
“Your wife will not take a bullet for you; he will be there crying, 'Don't kill us,' but your mother will step forward, saying, 'Release that bullet for me instead.' And he means it. He would sacrifice himself to save his son.”

A man buys his wife a Porsche Cayenne
In a separate report, a Kenyan man increased the signs of love by gifting his wife a new Porsche Cayenne.
George Gatimu noted that the grand gift was a sign of engagement for his beloved wife.
The couple took the car to the church for prayer before taking it home to his parents so they could bless it.
