Carabao Cup Quarter Final Draw: Tottenham vs Manchester United, Chelsea Stumbled on the Way

Manchester United will face their opponent in the last eight of the Carabao Cup this season after landing Tottenham Hotspur in the draw on Wednesday night.

United beat Leicester City 5-2 in their first game since Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday. The legend of the club Ruud Van Nistelrooy was the one who organized the victory which was normal despite giving two away goals.

They will now play Tottenham away in the quarter-finals. Spurs beat injury-hit Manchester City 2-1 to keep alive their hopes of winning this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle United at St. James Park. Enzo Maresca changed the entire starting line-up from the one that beat the same opposition in the league on Sunday.

Newcastle host Brentford, who beat Sheffield Wednesday, in the next round.

Who will Arsenal and Liverpool face?

Arsenal and Liverpool are the other big teams left in the competition. The Gunners won 3-0 against Preston, while Liverpool survived a scare to beat Brighton 3-2.

Mikel Arteta's side have won the London derby against Crystal Palace, while Arne Slot's charges travel to the South Coast to play Southampton.

Crystal Palace produced an impressive turnaround at Villa Park to beat Aston Villa as Southampton manager Russell Martin bought more time with a win over Stoke City.
