Siaya – Nyanza DCI detectives had arrested two women linked to the murder of Willis Ayieko, the Human Resources Manager in Wells Fargowhose body was discovered in a swamp in the area of Sabatia, Siaya county.
An autopsy revealed that Ayieko suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
What happened before the arrest of the suspects of Ayieko's murder?
The suspects were reported to be on their way to commit armed robbery when the police confronted them, leading to a confrontation that involved shooting.
According to the Coordinator of DCI of Nyanza Region, Lenny Kisaka, the male suspect was able to escape with gunshot wounds in the incident on Tuesday, October 29, and ran to the bushes nearby and then took a motorcycle.
Police recovered Ceska's pistol and 11 bullets from the suspectsa weapon that was owned by the late Ayieko. Similarly, authorities recovered police uniforms from the suspects.
However, one of the female suspects died from injuries sustained during the fight, as reported by Citizen TV.
Authorities are now increasing efforts to arrest five members of the gang suspected of being involved in the incident.
The first suspect in Ayieko's murder has been arrested Nairobi
DCI officers they arrested the first suspectVictor Okoth, Monday, October 28, in Dandora Phase IV, Nairobi.
Okoth he is supposed to give more than KSh 100,000 from Ayieko's phone account, using the money to rent a house and buy household items.
On Wednesday, October 30, Okoth was brought to the Court of Siaya.

The court allowed the police to detain Victor Okoth for 21 days following his appearance in court.
Willis Ayieko's family asked Kenyans to pray for them as they had lost another brother in September 2024.
