Collins Jumaisi: The Main Suspect of the Mass Murder Is Still Not Known Since He Surrendered to the Police

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has reiterated its request for public assistance in finding Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the main suspect accused of killing 42 women and dumping their bodies in the Kware landfill.

According to a statement witnessed by TUKO.co.ke, Jumaisi, who was caught earlier this year, claimed that police officers tortured him to make him confess.

How did Collins Jumaisi disappear?

On August 20, 2024, Jumaisi escaped from Muthaiga Police Station along with 12 Eritrean prisoners.

“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is asking for the public's assistance in providing information that may lead to the re-arrest of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha. He was scheduled to be charged with murder but escaped from police custody on Monday, August 20,” He said DCI in his statement.

Reports later revealed that the two suspects allegedly bribed police officers to facilitate their escape, sparking a massive but so far unsuccessful two-month manhunt.

DCI promises a cash reward

To expedite his recapture, the DCI has offered a new cash reward for any information leading to Jumaisi's arrest, providing additional information about his background to help identify him.

The DCI has asked anyone who has knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward as efforts are being made to find him.

“A huge cash reward awaits anyone with reliable information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect. The suspect is from Shiru sub-location, Shaviringa sub-county, Hamisi sub-county there Vihiga. Information about his whereabouts can be shared confidentially through the anonymous #RevealKwaDCI hotline on 0800722203,” added the statement.

DCI claims Jumaisi killed his wife

Jumaisi, who was caught at a joint meal in Soweto, also allegedly confessed to killing his wife, Imelda Khamenya.

This incident happened after he allegedly squandered the income of the small businesses he started for him.

His body was dumped in a quarry that was turned into a dump in Kware.
