Kisii: His Relative's Wife Who Disappeared 34 Years Ago Agrees To Welcome Him Back Into His Life

In an unusual situation in the village of Kimwanda, the county of Kisiia man who abandoned his family 34 years ago is reunited with his first wife and children.

Joseph Andima, who left home in the 1990s in search of income opportunities, has recently reappeared in the County of Baringo.

Andima was 35 years old when he started a journey that took him to work as a mechanic during the construction of the Airport of Eldoretthe Kabartonjo – Kipsaraman road, and the Kirandich dam in the 1990s.

NTV reported that Andima left behind four children and started a new life in the county where she lived.

Since he left Kisii, he started a new family and raised five children with another woman.

His long absence saddened his family, prompting them to launch a massive search that involved visiting hospitals and morgues throughout the area.

Why Andima's family thought he had passed away

After years of unsuccessfully searching for him, they finally gave up and believed that he had met a terrible fate.

The family mourned him believing that he had passed away and tried to move forward with their lives.

They were surprised to discover that Andima, now 65 years old, is alive and has lived in Baringo, Kabartonjo area.

Despite the long separation and the resulting pain, his first wife, Esther Andima, has welcomed him with open arms.

“It has been a difficult period to take care of our children. Feeding and educating them alone without my spouse was a challenge,” Esther shared, expressing her feelings of joy and comfort at her husband's return.

How did Andima's family know he was alive?

OCS of Loruk, Moses Ondigi, who is from the same area as Andima in Kisii County, saw and recognized the man who was wanted in Baringo North.

He helped her reunite with her family by arranging for them to travel to Kabartonjo to meet their long-lost father.

After an emotional reunion, they took him back to their home to meet other relatives.

The incident brought mixed feelings to Andima's family as they try to rebuild relationships lost over the years.

While many in the village of Kimwanda are still surprised by the news, Esther and her family are now focusing on reconciliation, appreciating the miracle of having their loved one back.
