Nairobi – The sacked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has made a special appeal to Kenyans regarding President William Ruto.
Why William Ruto he needs prayer
During the church service at St James ACK Cathedral in the city KiambuGachagua asked Kenyans to pray for Ruto, saying he has big responsibilities ahead of him.
According to the former Member of Parliament for Mathira, many Kenyans feel helpless under the leadership of the Kenya First Union because of high taxes and failed public systems such as health services.
Gachagua said Kenyans should pray to the President for wisdom so that they can recover from their daily challenges.
“We are asking Wakenya may they continue to be peaceful and pray for President William Ruto to lead well in the challenges facing Kenyans. People feel helpless because of economic challenges, rising taxes, and failing health systems, and the President has a lot of work to do. We are asking for prayers for him so that God gives him wisdom and the people of Kenya recover,” Gachagua said.
What caused the split between Ruto and Gachagua?
Meanwhile, Ruto touched on the reason for his split with the controversial deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking there Turkana On Friday, October 25, the national leader seemed to indicate that his split with Gachagua began when he formed a government with broad representation.
He seemed to explain that the beaten deputy president seemed to oppose the idea of members of the ODM party led by Raila Odinga to work with the government.
Ruto also said that united Kenyans have the ability to overcome the challenges facing the nation.
