The couple who became famous after meeting in Maandano have left many people speechless after announcing that they have separated.
Why did the Maandano couple separate?
Tony Sherman and Kendi met in June 2024 at an anti-government protest, and three weeks later they were engaged.
Two months after they met, Tony and Kendi got married in a public ceremony downtown Nairobi on Sunday, August 25.
Their wedding which took place on the busy streets of Nairobi attracted passers-by and businessmen.
Comedian Pastor hosted the event as the couple exchanged vows before celebrating with fans.
However, the lovers have already separatedand speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Tony accused his wife of cheating on him.
Responding to the allegations, Kendi denied cheating, insisting that: “It was a mutual agreement.
“We had our limitations, and we decided to interrupt relationship. Not a day did I hate Tony. I was with him all the time, where did I find time to cheat on him?” said Kendi speaking to TUKO.co.ke.
Tony claimed that sometimes, Kendi would remove her ring, and when asked why, Kendi said:
“When doing housework, I can't wear a ring because I don't want it to get wet.”
Kendi also revealed that they were not living together despite being married, denying her husband's previous claims.
“We are separated. We should meet to discuss the divorce. Also, we had not started living together. We were planning to move into the same house, but we broke up,” explained Kendi.
Tony Sherman was heartbroken after his marriage broke up.

In a separate interview with TUKO.co.ke, Tony admitted that he was very hurt when his marriage broke up.
The 28-year-old content producer revealed that he spent KSh 50,000 on the wedding, and their mothers attended the memorable event.
Tony also claimed they moved in together after their public wedding.
