The body, with signs of severe torture—ears and noses ripped off, eyes gouged out, and severe burns—was thought to be that of the missing congressman.

An emotional scene unfolded when his family actually identified the mutilated body in the local mortuary.

However, the results of the post-mortem have now revealed that the body is not MCA that according to Nation Africa.

This is after samples from his mother, brothers, and tissue from the body were taken for tests.

Two separate DNA tests were conducted, and a private pathologist confirmed that the results were negative, ruling out the body as that of Yussuf Hussein Ahmed.

Investigators confirmed that the body belonged to a man of Somali descent.

They also determined that the cause of death was a blow to the face with a blunt instrument, which caused internal bleeding to the head.

These results have only added to the confusion and sadness surrounding the whereabouts of the MP, who has been missing since September 13.
