George Natembeya Insists Wetang'ula, Mudavadi No More Place in Kenyan Politics

Natembeya, who has been leading the radical Tawe movement that aims to remove traditional political leaders from Western Kenya and bring a new crop of leaders with new ideas, said Wetang'ula and Mudavadi have lost all the opportunities they were given to provide leadership.

The head of the county who spoke openly wanted the people of the West Kenya forget about the two great politicians and instead support future visionary leaders who intend to save the region from divisive and personality politics.

“We are poor because of bad political leadership. Don't worship any leader who has been there for many years, leave them alone and let's work together to change our lives,” said the former head of the Rift Valley region.

Why has Western Kenya collapsed?

Natembeya said although he sincerely believes that every community should get an equal share of the national cake, and the people of Western Kenya should be in the forefront of fighting for a change in the leadership of the country.

“We do not want to discriminate against anyone. Kenya is a republic of all races. When we get our fair share, let others also get it. However, we have a greater responsibility because we are number two in terms of population but we have not got anything,” he saw.

The county head challenged the people of Western Kenya to take the issues of national leadership seriously and encourage other communities to join the push for equality in the distribution of resources and distribution of power.

“Other small communities say if the Luhyas have not got anything, why are we complaining? You have a greater responsibility than anyone else and you are a great insult to this nation. Stand up and claim your place,” he said. I'm walking.

Why is Natembeya fighting Mudavadi and Wetang'ula?

He claimed that the continuation of alternating power between the two communities since independence has caused injustice that can affect even future generations.

“Our children now believe that the president of Kenya must be a Kikuyu or Kalenjin. Our people are not ambitious. But the day Mluhya becomes president, I want to assure you that even a Somali, Turkana, or Kamba child will know that it is possible to rise up and lead this country,” added the governor.

Natembeya hinted at taking up the challenge of leading the people of Mulembe in claiming their rightful place in the political field in the country.

“I will be there and no one should threaten you, no one should tell us anything about Wetang'ula and Mudavadi. We gave them a chance and they lost it, now let's plan,” said Natembeya.

Conflict between Natembeya, Wetangula

As previously reported, the rift between Wetangula and Natembeya took a major turn after they clashed at a funeral in Goseta, Bidii ward, Trans Nzoia.

In a series of public meetings, the head of the region criticized the speaker for being the leader of the region, however the region remained behind in development, with a large part of the people suffering from poverty.

Natembeya said he respects Wetang'ula and Mudavadi but could not support their unity.
