The newspaper reported that the daughter of a Kirinyaga politician, who was killed in the Biafra region in Thika Town on October 14, unknowingly entered a well-organized sex group, according to police investigations.
Seth Nyakio, 23, was called Thika from his mother's house in Kamakis Estate, Kiambu County, on the afternoon of October 12 by a young female friend (name withheld). The first time he was taken to a pool party.
The mother of Lucy Njeri, an elected Member of Parliament for Kirinyaga County, said her daughter sent her photos while she was swimming at a popular hotel in town Thika.

After the party, Nyakio spent the night at a friend's house in the crime-prone area of Biafra Estate. According to officials of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) of Thika West, Nyakio left Biafra on 13 October.
The male suspect had previously been reported to the police for making death threats to Nyakio's girlfriend.
Unfortunately, Nyakio was staying at this friend's house. In his statement to the police, the friend said that apart from his lover who is said to have left him, Nyakio also had another male lover.
Both men, according to the friend, had house keys in Biafra Estate. It is in this house where Nyakio was found murdered.

According to the publication, the Chief Officer of Kiptagich Police Station has been charged in court for allegedly covering up a shooting incident in Ngata, Nakuru county.
Chief Inspector Rebecca Owendi appeared in court yesterday and denied the charge of conspiracy to defeat justice.
According to the prosecution, Owendi, in an attempt to cover up the shooting of police constable Brian Onyango, gave misleading information to the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA).
Also charged in relation to the incident is police officer Hillary Mwigai. Another policeman, Absalom Ondiek, is facing charges of trying to kill Onyango on July 7, 2022.
The defense wanted to adjourn the case until the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) gets permission from the Inspector General of Police, but the prosecution claimed that the DPP is operating independently.
The three officers were each released on KSh 1 million bail or, alternatively, KSh 300,000 cash bail.

A Kiswahili newspaper reported that senior politicians who supported President William Ruto in the 2022 General Election are now regretting being sidelined or abandoned, especially after the head of state started a partnership with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Politicians who feel isolated now are members of the ruling party United Democratic Alliance (UDA) who were in the forefront of campaigning for the president in the election where Raila was his main rival.
Apart from the sacked deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, other politicians who are now excluded from Ruto they include former Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Agriculture Mithika Linturi, former secretary general of UDA Cleophas Malala, and former Member of Parliament for Bahati Kimani Ngunjiri.
Former ministers Aisha Jumwa, Ababu Namwamba, and Zack Njeru have also been left in the cold.
Senators John Methu (Nyandarua), Joe Nyutu (Murang'a), James Murango (Kirinyaga), Karungo Thang'wa (Kiambu), and Nyeri Governor Kahiga Mutahi, as well as Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, have also distanced themselves from the Ruto camp. . .
Linturi has expressed his regrets for working with President Ruto without having an official political agreement.
“Towards the 2022 elections, we worked hard to ensure the victory of President Ruto. However, I regret not signing the contract to protect my interests. While others were signing contracts using their parties, Gachagua and I trusted President Ruto. Now, we are unemployed, Linturi added.
Ngunjiri, who was among the leaders of Ruto's campaigns, also finds himself politically isolated and has blamed Raila for causing division within the Kenya Kwanza government.
“Our president was a good man, but Raila's entry into government has caused division within Kenya First. I pray to God to help President Ruto see the light again,” said Ngunjiri.

According to the magazine, the country is facing an unprecedented crisis in the education sector, with more than 400,000 teachers currently unemployed, according to records from the Teachers Recruitment Commission (TSC).
The saddest thing is the severe shortage of science teachers, as many educators trained in universities and Teacher Training.
Universities (TTCs) specialize in arts studies, as defined by TSC.
TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia expressed dismay at the inequality, noting that most of the teachers produced by universities and colleges are trained in the arts.
“Even when we advertise jobs, we don't get answers for science lessons, yes, there is a crisis of science teachers, and I have never shied away from admitting that,” he said.
Macharia said this when he appeared before the parliamentary education committee led by Tinderet MP Julius Melly.
He also revealed that among the 46,000 Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers recently hired on permanent and pension terms, most of them teach art subjects.
He stunned lawmakers by revealing that although the TSC advertised 46,000 teacher vacancies, it received as many as 314,117 applications.
Of those, 93,646 applications came from primary school teachers competing for only 6,000 positions.
Another 144,177 applications came from primary schools, although only 39,550 were able to be absorbed.
Furthermore, from 76,294 applications for secondary school teaching positions, TSC could only hire 450 teachers.
